Advent 2025 – Day Twenty

Yesturday wasn’t a painting day for me so lets see what Today’s adventure is as Red is starting to run into some problems.

Oh.. Red comes across a tall lanky man in front of a little tent while is busy fencing with a scarecrow. He says he is Sir Gebbon the white, a questing Knight and he is looking for foes to fight and he can be used right now to get rid of any monster currently on the board. That’s useful.. however.. sigh.. Red has 2 endurance left… There is no way she can backtrack to get any food before she passes out.

I could send him to get rid of King Rat, that would allow her to move back to that tile, putting her endurance down to 1. but then the next tile going back would be the one with the hole where I got the gold.. which is no good. Really, Red has only 1 option. To go forward and see what happens. most likely she will fall and one of her sisters will have to take up her quest. Not 100% sure but I would say, when a sister starts out, she gets a new loaf of bread? Of course, If I don’t mind dropping everything I got (which isn’t too much) the new sister doesn’t have to go very far cause there are a number of route options near the start.. mmm well.. Like I said, the only hope Red has got is to carry on, so she must. But I’m not hopeful for her.

She’ll tell Sir Gebbon about the Rat King, and he’ll run off to fight him, that removes both of them from the board. I’ll then carry on west and hope for the best, or maybe just a rest to calm her breast and I can’t think of a food related word the fits…
