Advent 2025 – Day Twenty-Three

Okay, Monday wasn’t painting day and we are now into the final 2 days which are labeled.. so lets look at the Twenty-Third day’s content

Well… If there was one thing I wasn’t expecting.. It was Napoleon XIV… Let see what the day stuff says.

It’s a local Baron who owned the cottage your grandmother lives in and she is behind on her rent. I have a choice.. I can give him something gold or I can do a long series of challenges against him. Well.. I happen to have that Gold apple spare ^_^ So I’ll give him that and carry on to grandma’s cottage.

Ah, just for a bit of fun (which doesn’t count) Lets see what might have happened if I didn’t give him the apple.

First need to summon up some courage to challenge him.. which she failed..

if I had passed, I would need to notice his very cheap wig with a perception test, which she failed..

if that had worked, A wisdom test to remember he is very sensitive about his appearance.. which she failed.

Agility test to see if I could whip the wig from his head showing he was bald? well, she passed that one.

and finally, throw it far away into the bushes.. which she passed.

So.. If I had done all that.. pretty sure I would have failed.. some of her stats are pretty low (perception of 2, yikes, a potion would have really helped on that).

But I didn’t do that anyway, I gave him the gold apple so instead of running away to get his wig and then coming back even MORE annoyed, he goes off happy and I still got the Bread for Grandma. Lets see if she is home tomorrow.

  1. Nice to know I’m not the only one to do an occasional woulda, shoulda, coulda test roll. Also glad Green had the Gold to pay the Wig.
